We are thrilled to be hosting our first ever Summer Concert Series! Each night will feature three incredible local bands sharing their artistry and music at the St. Francis College’s auditorium. Our goal is to create a platform where Brooklyn and NYC based musicians can present their talents and where music’s divine power can inspire, connect, and uplift.
July lineup:
Amy Jay
New York based indie alt-folk singer songwriter Amy Jay’s songs are like plastic knives—pliable, yet cutting. She is a master of exploring what makes the vulnerable acceptable, embracing nervous laughter in awkward situations, and alluding to the Joycean concept of what makes the universal specific. Throughout her new album, Mnemonics, she transforms mantras of self-help folk songs into fully formed indie rock panoramas that alternatingly float, stun, and comfort. Amy Jay’s Mnemonics is due out November 7 via Mother West.
Jon and the projectors
Jon and The Projectors perform original, vibrant, and passionate songs. Hailing influences from Pop, funk, soul, and jazz, JATP fuses tight grooves with infectious hooks and virtuosic improvised solos.
Ripple Æffect
Ripple Æffect is a collaborative ensemble focused on creating an intimate, accessible, and emotionally complex new music experience. “Ripple Æffect bring passion and life to their unique jazz-pop fusion, endlessly fascinating and sincere while still able to inspire smiles”(Abe Beeson, KNKX Radio)
